BESKYDY SKY NATURE TRAIL
The so-called Beskydy Sky is 1,800 meters long. It features an exhibition of bird-of-prey silhouettes under the roof of the amphitheater stage, a wooden footbridge with an exhibition called Life in the Tree Canopy and six additional stops throughout the area. A barefoot trail was built nearby, close to the local bell tower. A total of 8 main information panels were installed along the nature trail, informing visitors about both the history and current events in Horecky. Another 6 panels are located on the wooden footbridge as part of the Life in the Tree Canopy exhibit.
Perhaps the most attractive part of the entire nature trail is the 85-meter-long skywalk, which, shaped like a horseshoe, begins and ends directly behind the amphitheater stage. On this 1.8-meter-wide walkway, there are 6 stops where visitors can learn about the lives of the tree-top inhabitants.
Another very interesting spot, which practically forms a single unit with the wooden walkway, is the amphitheater’s roof. Silhouettes of birds of prey, including the majestic golden eagle, hang beneath the roof. It was the amphitheater’s roof that gave the entire nature trail its name.
